We were delighted to welcome Brenda O’Donoghue to Junction 14 Mayfield as part of her RTÉ Radio 1 programme, Services Ahead.

Spending both a day and a night at the site, Brenda immersed herself in the unique atmosphere of Junction 14 Mayfield, meeting the people who make it such a special destination. From dedicated team members working across the business to customers travelling from all corners of the country, the programme captured the stories, experiences and connections that happen here every day.

As one of Ireland’s busiest motorway service areas, Junction 14 Mayfield is proud to be part of so many journeys. Whether customers are stopping for a quick coffee, a family meal, or a well-earned break on a long drive, our aim is always to provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

Junction 14 Mayfield was honoured with the Forecourt Retailer of the Year award and, in a momentous culmination of the evening, was named the Overall Winner of the Night, earning the title of Ireland’s Best Convenience Retail Outlet for 2025.

The 25th edition of the ShelfLife National C-Store Awards took place on the 20^th November at the Royal Marine Hotel, celebrating excellence and innovation within Ireland’s convenience retail sector.

Now in its 25th year, the ShelfLife National C-Store Awards remains Ireland’s only independently judged and comprehensive honours programme dedicated solely to the convenience store industry. Over the decades, it has established itself as the benchmark for retail excellence, shining a spotlight on the best stores, staff, and initiatives across the country.

The evening was hosted by returning master of ceremonies, RTÉ Radio and television personality Marty Whelan, with an inspiring address from John McDonald, publisher of ShelfLife.

The pinnacle of the ceremony was the announcement of the Supreme Champion – National Convenience Store of the Year 2025, awarded to SPAR Junction 14, Mayfield, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare. Junction 14 Mayfield’s achievements highlight its position as a leader in convenience retail, setting a benchmark for excellence in the industry.
